FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take to see results?
Credit repair results are generated in the first 30 to 45 days from the day the credit dispute process begins.  The process will take 30 to 120 days, but we will keep working for you as long as we can make a difference.  There is no additonal cost and this is good for one year.

How much does it cost? Are there any hidden fees?
The fee for our service is based case by case, ranging from $50 to $400. That will vary on the amount of derogatory accounts you have, but to emphasize:
There are no hidden fees. The fee you are quoted during your free consultation is the only fee you will have to pay.  We also cover all primary postage costs, but may require additional postage fees for rare instances and problematic issues.

Can I enter this program if I have a Bankruptcy that has not been discharged or dismissed?
No! Once your Bankruptcy is discharged or dismissed, you can start thinking about your credit again.

Can I enter this program if I am in a Consumer Credit Counseling Service?
No! This looks worse than a Bankruptcy on your credit report. Once you finish that program, you can start thinking about your credit again. Just paying off your debt will not restore your credit.

If Credit-Maximized pulls my credit, will it hurt my score?
Unlike the inquiries generated by lenders, which may have an effect on the score, the FICO scoring system does not penalize consumers for obtaining or reviewing their personal credit reports.

What is a charge-off?
A charge-off is a term used by creditors to describe an account that has been unpaid for 180 days or more. Then an account has reached charged off status, the debt is usually assigned to a debt collector.

If I pay a collections account or a charged-off account, will the negative information
be removed from my credit report?

No. By paying a charged off or collection account, your credit report will reflect the status of paid charge off or paid collection, and will remain for a period of 7 years from the date of first delinquency.  Our settlement alternatives, in most cases, allow for the credit reports to reflect “paid as agreed”.

What is Credit Maximized guarantee?
Our service is guaranteed. We don’t hide behind any phony statements or false promises.  Our service includes the initial consultation, the dispute process and analysis of settlement alternatives.

Can I do this process myself?
Yes! You do not need to hire us or anyone in order to restore your credit. The problem is most people do not know how to do this process, or they do not have the time to do it. You hire us to do the work, just like you pay a restaurant instead of cooking and cleaning for yourself.  If we are able to make you happy with our results for a reasonable price, you will refer more business to us, and that is our goal.  We also offer a "do it yourself" guide for only $50.

What is the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)?
The FCRA protects your rights as a consumer to contact the credit bureaus and to dispute questionable items on your credit reports. If the credit bureaus are unable to verify the accuracy of information found on your reports, those items must be deleted or changed.

What is the Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA)?
The FCBA settlement procedures apply only to disputes about "billing errors". For example:  Unauthorized charges. Federal law limits your responsibility for unauthorized charges to $50; charges that list the wrong date or amount; charges for goods and services you didn't accept or weren't delivered as agreed; math errors; failure to post payments and other credits, such as returns; failure to send bills to your current address - provided the creditor receives your change of address, in writing, at least 20 days before the billing period ends; and charges for which you ask for an explanation or written proof of purchase along with a claimed error request for clarification.

What is the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA)?
A debt collector may not harass, oppress, or abuse any person in connection with the collection of a debt. A debt collector may not use any false, deceptive, or misleading representation or means in connection with the collection of any debt. A debt collector may not use unfair or unconscionable means to collect or attempt to collect any debt.
